Universal Remote

ZappIR is a unique universal remote control app for your Android Smartphone or tablet. Using the built-in IR blaster on your Smartphone or tablet, you will be able to manage any of your home entertainment devices that can receive IR (infrared) commands. 

ZappIR works with any Samsung Smartphones or Tablets that have a built-in IR blaster, and HTC One. These include the:

We are adding new device infrared codes to our database everyday. If you do not find your device name on the list, simply, send us an e-mail with the brand and model number to info@zappir.com and we will promptly add your device codes or help you choose the matching codes from the list. 
 

Note that air conditioners are usually not supported, they have a 50% rate but we will try our best to find them. 

For each device, you will be able to test commands, change the repeats and adjust the devices signal tuning. 

- Repeats: Are the amount of times a command is sent each button click. The default settings are at 3. 

- Signal Tuning: Adjusts the range and the performance of your device. Say if you are too far from it, then you may need to get a little closer to your device and change the range for your device in other for it to become more reliable. 

- Testing commands: Is very important , when you add a device you want to make sure the commands will work for your device. Otherwise change the settings, if changing the devices settings doesn't work then make sure to contact support about it. 

You can customize your own remote screen by changing colors and also customize buttons to set up macros. 

You can change the following in the remote screen:

- Set Top Bar Color

- Set Background Color

- Set D-Pad Color

When you click on each you will get the opportunity to change the color around and choose the one you like

- Create a macro

- Hide this buttons during normal operation

- Run an app

- Device

You can change assign a macro when you want to execute a sequence of commands in a single button press. 

To set up a macro you need to be in customization mode, and instead of choosing a device you need to click on "Create Macro"

- Step 1: Go into your phones Home Screen and long press in a place with enough space. Select Widget

- Step 2: Search for " ZappIR"

- Step 3: Click on it and now youwill see your widget in the home screen you selected

You can mute the volume of your TV when you have an incoming call. Go into the Main Menu to do this. As seen in the screen below. You must have it selected. 

If you're in the middle of your favorite movie and you have an incoming call, you can pause the scene that you are currently watching. That way, you can continue on watching your movie after the call. The option is also found in the main menu as seen above. 

You can add a blank remote to completely customize your remote screen. This way if you only want to use a few commands from different devices.
